Would make this again. Easy enough to make but not very good for the "plate of goodies" gift, as they are not stable at room temperature. They are kind of like frosted fudge with chocolate topping. I swapped out one semi sweet square with and unsweetened one to make the topping darker, it worked nicely. Would make this again. Nanaimo Bars are easy to make IF you follow recipe, have patience and can handle your appetite until done. These bars were made in the Klondike ( that's in the Yukon folks) long before they claimed the name "Nanaimo"...probably was a Klondiker who took her recipe south. Stores sell them with mint chocolate, and other fillings but this is the traditional recipe...Try them, you just might like them. e
