Chocolate Cherry Kris Kringles1/2 cup margarine1/2 cup brown sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla 1 1/2 cups flour 1/8 teaspoon salt 20 to 25 maraschino cherries 20 to 25 chocolate chips , plus 1 cup chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350° F. Cream sugar and margarine well. Add vanilla, flour and salt. Mix well. Stuff each cherry with a chocolate chip, then wrap in 1 teaspoon dough. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet for 12 to 15 minutes. Cool. Melt 1 cup chocolate chips in the top of a double boiler over low heat or in the microwave, and dip top of cookies in melted chocolate. 1-3 of 30 reviews Next >> Would make this again. you do need to add an extra stick of margernie to make the dough work you also need to add a little bit of crisco to the choclate to get it to melt properly Would make this again. Really good! Made these last year and loved them! Would not make this again. I thought I had made them incorrectly since the dough was so dry..so I tossed it. I found this website and I am going to try them again as I still have some cherries and chips left... e
